Futures in Education offers National Franchise Opportunities

Futures in Education, Inc., providing one-to-one individualized instruction, announced today it is offering national Franchise opportunities for its innovative Halstrom High School™ program. The private, fully accredited schools cater to students who seek a more personalized secondary school experience; franchisees should be dedicated to educational excellence above all else.

Founded in 1985 by Dr. Karen Bishop, Futures in Education today operates three Southern California campuses—in Oceanside, Mission Viejo, and San Diego—and an online school. As an alternative to typical high school instruction, Halstrom does not offer courses in a traditional classroom setting. Instead, students are partnered with individual teachers, resulting in a hands-on learning experience that ensures academic success.

Using a school concept based on Oxford University’s tutorial system, Halstrom students work in a mastery-based learning program; they move through the curriculum only after passing each lesson. The benefits of this approach are positively reflected in the number of Halstrom graduates who continue to college: 75-80 percent.
