Frozen Fusion Smoothies Signs Agreement With Barnes & Noble

SCOTTSDALE, Arizona (March 26, 1999) -- Less than two years after Frozen Fusion opened its first franchised juice and smoothie store, it has signed a licensing agreement with Barnes & Noble College Bookstores to open smoothie stores at two college campus locations within the next six months.

The two locations are Yale University and University of Central Florida.

One of the components that has enabled Frozen Fusion to move into non-traditional markets is the fact that they have developed a delivery system to keep up with customer demand. To service a high volume of traffic, Frozen Fusion developed an advanced throughput system, which delivers custom blended smoothies 60 seconds after the order is placed.

Frozen Fusion has plans for aggressive expansion, including opening 300 stores within the next 5 years in 25 target markets.
