FASTSIGNS Takes Part In TEAM Survivor

The FASTSIGNS located off of John W. Carpenter Freeway in Dallas, along with the Dallas/Ft. Worth FASTSIGNS Advertising Cooperative, will be joining forces with cyclists from across the nation for what will be the largest cycling class ever.

On Saturday morning, November 11th, these cyclists will saddle up for TEAM Survivor - a non-profit organization dedicated to helping female cancer survivors build a sense of power and accomplishment as they recover from their cancer experience.

People from across the country can take part in this event by choosing to ride all eight hours by themselves or sharing the fun by getting family and friends involved. Marilyn Sheffield, a breast cancer survivor and cyclist, will be one of the star athletes in the class by cycling on the top of a billboard located on one of Dallas' most heavily trafficked freeways. The board, which was donated by Bill Becker, the owner of three Dallas-area FASTSIGNS, will be linked together via video conferencing with all of the other cyclists throughout the country.

According to Becker, "I am happy to be able to donate the billboard for this event. It is for a serious cause that hits home with many individuals and it allows me to give back to the community. We hope that this event will raise even more awareness for fitness among cancer and non-cancer patients alike."

TEAM Survivor offers educational exercise programs for women in every state of cancer treatment and recovery. These programs allow women to regain control of their bodies, their health and their lives. Locations for the cycling event are being added daily.
