United Franchise Group Appoints New Presidents for SIGNARAMA and EmbroidMe Brands

Ray Titus, CEO of United Franchise Group, a company that specializes in franchise development and services, has named new presidents for two of the company’s largest franchise brands.

Jim Tatem has been appointed president of SIGNARAMA, the world’s largest Sign franchise and Mark Johnson has been appointed president of EmbroidMe, the world’s largest retail embroidery franchise.  Titus will now serve as chief executive officer for United Franchise Group and its brands.
 “I have had the privilege of working with these gentlemen for a number of years and the success of these brands is due in large part to their efforts,” says Titus.  “It is my honor to pass the torch to Jim and Mark as I know they will continue the growth and success of these two companies.”

Tatem began his career with SIGNARAMA as the owner of the pilot location in 1986.  He was instrumental in creating and running the early training classes, store set-ups, research and development and field support programs for the Company. As vice president of training, Tatem was responsible for the initial and ongoing training of new franchisees and their staff.  While serving as global director, Tatem launched, supported and developed master license holders for all the UFG’s brands. He is a member of the International Sign Association, Digital Print Imaging Association and Rotary West Palm Beach Chapter.  

Johnson entered the embroidery industry with his own business in Rochester, N.Y.   A graduate of St. John Fisher College in Rochester with a bachelor’s degree in Business Management, he serves on the March of Dimes Logistics Committee in West Palm Beach.
