Schneider will use his longtime expertise in Food franchise sales and marketing to initiate and continue the expansion of the Earl of Sandwich brand nationwide. Before joining Earl of Sandwich, Schneider served in high-ranking positions with such franchise industry giants as Sbarro, Friendly’s, Boston Chowda Company and The Great Steak and Potato Company. In his new position, Schneider will focus on developing Earl of Sandwich Franchises throughout the United States. “I’m thrilled to be joining Earl of Sandwich at the beginning of an exciting growth phase,” Schneider said. “Earl of Sandwich presents an excellent opportunity for restaurateurs looking to invest in an established brand. I look forward to working with the Earl of Sandwich executive team to introduce this reputable quick-service concept to new markets.” Schneider’s addition to Earl of Sandwich is the latest in a series of development-related news from the sandwich chain. Most recently, the company announced its first franchise development deal for eight locations in Texas with an investment group headed by Don Sanders that includes former and current Major League Baseball stars Nolan Ryan and Roger Clemens. At the same time, Earl of Sandwich announced its second corporate location for Tampa to open in November. Additional restaurants are projected to open in New York City, Southern California, the Midwest and Florida in 2006.
