Dwyer Group companies in the UK attended a 'Dwyer Day'

A meeting of Franchising minds took place recently, when key decision-makers from all of The Dwyer Group companies in the UK attended a 'Dwyer Day' hosted by Rainbow International at its Nottinghamshire head office.

The meeting was attended by Garry Hunt, Director of Aire Serv UK; Andrew Shaw, Financial Director of Drain Doctor; Clive Houlston, Franchise Director and Paul Topham, franchise Systems Manager of Mr Electric; and Melvin Lusty, Managing Director of Rainbow International and DreamMaker Bath and Kitchen by Worldwide. 

All part of the Texas-based Dwyer Group, these Franchises are between them achieving a total network turnover of nearing £50 million and currently have over 220 franchisees in the UK. Guest at the Dwyer Day was Tobias Baumann, Managing Director of Rainbow International Germany, which currently has 12 franchisees and last year achieved a total network turnover of over 2.5 million pounds.

As well as discussing joint marketing initiatives, networking and franchising in general, developing franchisee support systems was a key item on the agenda for the franchisor representatives.

Melvin Lusty said, "Providing effective franchisee support is one of the cornerstones of a successful franchise. Our franchise networks and franchisees' businesses are growing. Therefore, continuous development of our support systems is essential. The meeting was a useful opportunity to explore this subject and, in particular, the impact on it of information and communications technology."
