Dermacare Franchise Awards Northwestern Franchises to Drs. Kenneth Egli and Sidney B. Smith

Dermacare Laser & Skin Care Clinics^®, the only physician-based laser aesthetic skin-care franchisor in the nation, has signed a Master Regional Franchise agreement with Kenneth Egli, M.D., and Sidney B. Smith, M.D., to open multiple clinics in Eastern Washington, Idaho and Utah. The first clinic is scheduled to open in January in the Tri-Cities, Wash. (Richland, Kennewick and Pasco). Clinic openings in other locations will be announced later. The agreement signals Dermacare's final Master Regional franchise award.

Dr. Smith is a board certified dermatologist with vast experience in all aspects of cosmetic, medical and surgical dermatology. During his eight years of service in the United States Army, including a year as a field surgeon and as the military dermatologist in Iraq, Dr. Smith has served as chief and assistant chief of dermatology and on the teaching staff for dermatology residents and other residents at Brooke Army Medical Center, Fort Sam Houston, Texas; Darnall Army Community Hospital, Fort Hood, Texas; and Madigan Army Medical Center, Fort Lewis, Wash. He has also authored over 20 dermatology journal articles and chapters, and is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Medical Association, and Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.

Dr. Egli is a board certified emergency physician from Richland, Wash., a partner of Kennewick Emergency Physicians, and is the Kennewick Fire Department Emergency Medical Services Director. Additionally, he is Medical Director and owner of Mid Columbia Ambulance in Tri-Cities, Wash. Dr. Egli completed his family practice internship at UT Southwestern and Parkland Hospital in Dallas. He completed his residency in emergency medicine at Hermann Hospital in Houston, and is a member of the American College of Emergency Physicians and Washington College of Emergency Medicine.
