Damon's Expands with New Restaurants in Ohio and Indiana

Damon's International, Inc., known for ribs, other grilled specialties and big-screen entertainment, is firing up the grill at two new restaurants in Ohio and Indiana.

Damon's opened a 150-seat company-owned location in Medina, Ohio, on July 23. Medina is located approximately 30 miles south of Cleveland. A franchised location with 225 seats is scheduled to open August 20 in Martinsville, Ind., which is approximately 30 miles southwest of Indianapolis.

Both restaurants were built using Damon's new design that includes an upscale dining room separated from the high-energy bar and clubhouse areas. The design also features a new exterior, more windows and an open kitchen.

The Martinsville, Ind., Restaurant is owned by Bill Spina. It is his first Damon's, although he is considering opening additional locations.

"While we continue to expand in various parts of the country, Latin America and the United Kingdom, we are focusing much of our growth in the Midwest where we already have the greatest concentration of restaurants," said Shannon Foust, president and CEO of Damon's International. "An increased number of Midwest restaurants will allow us to improve the efficiency of both our operations and our marketing."

With the opening of the Medina and Martinsville restaurants, Damon's will have 140 locations in the U.S., Latin America and the U.K. According to Foust, the chain expects to reach approximately 300 restaurants over the next few years.
