FranchisESource Brands International Announces Acquisition of DIGIKIDS

FranchisESource Brands International (FSBI), the globally acclaimed multi-brand franchisor with five high-performance brands in its portfolio such as The Entrepreneur’s Source® (TES), AdviCoach® and Decor & You®, announced today that it has acquired DIGIKIDS, the onsite child ID company offering the most advanced and affordable child safety ID available today. Terms of the deal have not been disclosed.

The move is a key component of FSBI’s strategic growth plan. According to Terry Powell, founder and CEO of FSBI, the addition of DIGIKIDS to the FSBI portfolio immerses the company in a sector where it is not currently represented. “Acquiring DIGIKIDS supports FSBI’s vision to remain atop the Franchise industry as an innovator and trendsetter,” said Powell, who has more than 25 years of experience in the franchise industry. “By applying our management systems and supporting DIGIKIDS with FSBI’s infrastructure we can grow the brand into a household name nationwide.”

Founded in 2003, DIGIKIDS currently has 12 units operating in eight states. With the acquisition, FSBI has moved DIGIKIDS to its company headquarters in Southbury, Conn. from Fort Worth, Texas.
