Franchise News Release: Seattle, WA - (Sep-27-2007) Cruise Holidays of Woodinville Honored with Community Service AwardToday, Cruise Holidays, North America’s largest cruise-specialty retail franchise, presented its “Community Service Award” to Steve Sibley and Rich Skinner of Cruise Holidays of Woodinville, WA, for their selfless work supporting local charities and raising money to aid the poor in Central America. Exemplary service and commitment to a group, organization or community, during the past year, is required to receive this award. Sibley and Skinner were honored during the 2007 Cruise Holidays Annual Convention which is being held aboard Celebrity Cruises’ Mercury, September 23-28, 2007. The co-owners receive over a hundred unsolicited charitable requests a year. This past year, they gave away 50 “lunch and tour” silent auction gifts in which the recipient would receive lunch aboard a Holland America Line cruise ship and tours of the vessel. Over $5,000 was raised for local schools, churches and other charitable organizations in the Woodinville and greater Seattle-area from these auction items. Sibley and Skinner also hosted “Cruising Wine and Cheese” parties at their store. These gatherings were used as fundraising activities for Washington Cathedral, in Redmond, where cruise packages were auctioned off. The money raised went to help poverty-stricken areas of Tegucigalpa, Honduras and Guatemala City, Guatemala. Cruise Holidays of Woodinville, located at 14450 Woodinville-Redmond Road, Suite 200, opened in 2002 and last year was honored with Cruise Holidays’ Golden Anchor award. About Cruise Holidays |
