ABERDEEN, South Dakota (November 26, 1999) - Computer Doctor Franchise Systems extends south of the boarder with a contract for 40 stores in Mexico, founder and Chief Executive Officer Lonnie Helgerson announced today. Jorge Luis Garza and Francisco Salazar plan to open their first Computer Doctor franchise Dec. 5 in Monterrey, with three to four more by March, Helgerson said. More locations will follow in Monterrey, Mexico City and Guadalajara. "Their contract is for their own headquarters in Mexico, for recruitment, training, marketing and support for stores across the country," Helgerson said. The Master franchise in Mexico gives the businessmen license to use the Computer Doctor Franchise System outside of the United States. The franchisees are operating under the corporate name Compu Doc Mex, S.A. De C.U. The group also has the first rights to South America, and in Texas from Brownsville to Laredo. Now in over 102 locations, Computer Doctor recently became affiliated with Wal-Mart and is building locations in Wal-Mart Supercenters.
