HSMAI Recognizes Cendant Corporation's Hotel Brands With 52 Adrian Advertising and Golden Bell Awards

Six of the nine brands that make up the Hotel Division of Cendant Corporation recently won 52 Adrian Advertising and Golden Bell Public Relations Awards from the Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International, more than any other hotel company.

Peter Strebel, senior vice president of marketing for Cendant's Hotel Division, said the awards "showcase the talented and hardworking individuals who make up the Cendant Hotel Division's marketing and public relations teams. Delivering the best and most innovative marketing, advertising and public relations programs is one of the greatest values we provide to our franchisees."

The Days Inn brand led the Cendant group by single-handedly winning 41 Adrian Advertising Awards, including three gold, 10 silver and 28 bronze. The brand also earned a gold and a bronze Golden Bell Public Relations Award. Individually, the brand earned more HSMAI awards than any other hotel brand.

The Wingate Inn, Knights Inn and Villager brands each won two Adrian Awards. The Wingate Inn brand earned one silver and one bronze, while the Knights Inn brand won two bronzes. The Villager brand earned one bronze and one gold.

The Travelodge brand was awarded one bronze Adrian and one gold Golden Bell, while the Ramada brand earned one bronze Golden Bell. Cendant's Hotel Division as a whole was also awarded one bronze Golden Bell.
