CCFA joins forces with Asian Sources Franchise China show (4/00)



The China Chain-store and Franchise Association (CCFA) recently announced its cooperation with China's premier international trade show for the franchise industry, the Asian Sources Franchise China Conference & Exhibition. The partnership is expected to secure Asian Sources Franchise China's role as a key gateway for international franchisors wanting to enter or expand into the China market.

Ms. Guo Ge Ping, Executive Director, of the CCFA, affirmed, "This partnership will have a very strong impact on the development of Franchising in China. The combined resources of the CCFA and Asian Sources Franchise China will allow us to provide even more windows of opportunity to businesses that want to be part of China's franchising revolution."

The China Chain-store and Franchise Association is comprised of retail and franchise companies that operate throughout China. Under the direction of China's Internal Trade Bureau, the CCFA assists the government in developing the retail and franchise industries.

In the two years since its launch, Asian Sources Franchise China has demonstrated its ability to deliver a quality audience of visitors to exhibiting franchises. More than 12,400 CEOs, managing directors and other senior executives attended the 1999 event, nearly double that of its inaugural year. Over 40% o these visitors were willing to invest at least US$60,000 in a franchise. Exhibitors at Asian Sources Franchise China include major industry names like Tricon Restaurants International (KFC, Pizza Hut), Century 21, Subway Sandwiches & Salads, Sign*A*Rama, Baskin Robbins Ice Cream, Informatics and Lamex Holdings Ltd.

Now in its third year, Asian Sources Franchise China will be held in three of China's major business hubs - Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou - from Nov. 6-14, 2000. Worldwide Franchises will introduce their businesses to qualified entrepreneurs and executives at the event's exhibition. Also, a concurrent conference will instruct potential franchisees about franchising concepts and strategies.
