THE BUYER'S AGENT, INC., the nation's largest and most experienced Exclusive Buyer Agency Real Estate franchise has opened its second regional franchise sales and support office in Yakima, Washington. Mr. Roland C. McLaughlin has contracted, as a Regional Director, to provide franchise sales and support for the Northwest Region, comprised of Oregon and Washington State. Mr. McLaughlin has a degree in finance from the University of Washington and a masters degree in Education from Heritage College. His business background includes: Vice President and Manager of the Public Finance Department of a major Wass Street investment banking firm; Managing Partner of a major fruit grower, packer and shipper located in Central Washington. More recently he owned and operated an Assisted Living Senior Health Care facility. In 1999 he joined THE BUYER'S AGENT, Buyer's First Realty in Yakima, Washington, owned and operated by his son, Daniel, and became one of the top agents in that office. Upon joining THE BUYER'S AGENT as a Regional Director, Mr. McLaughlin stated, "When I saw the tremendous success that Daniel had in the short time since he opened (April, 1999), I knew that others would be interested in this unique opportunity!" According to the company's president, Tom Hathaway, there are 3 existing Franchises in the region, which will accommodate 90 offices. THE BUYER'S AGENT, INC., provides exclusive territories with a population of 100,000 per office. The 12 year-old franchise is headquartered in Memphis, Tennessee.
