Sundance specials? stampede back to Buffalo?s Southwest Cafe


As warm weather arrives, Buffalo's Southwest Cafe brings back its popular spring menu promotion with "Sundance Specials." The new menu items include two new entrees, a specialty appetizer and a brand new wing flavor.

This year's Sundance Specials feature:

Coconut Jerk Wings - Where the South meets the West! A blend of sweet and spicy Caribbean jerk seasonings served on both the restaurants' world-famous Buffalo wings and chicken tenders. The dish is topped with toasted coconut and contains a dab of wing sauce, a spicy surprise for the taste buds. Prices start at $6.29 for an order of 10 wings to $44.99 for a "mile high" order of 100 wings.

Black and Bleu Salmon - A tender, center-cut salmon filet rubbed with Southwest seasoning and grilled to perfection. Topped with chipotle sauce and bleu cheese crumbles and served over a bed of rice and steamed vegetables, the Black and Bleu Salmon is priced at $10.99

Buffalo's Cobb Salad - Buffalo's version of the classic Cobb. A mound of fresh greens topped with crisp bacon, cheddar jack cheese, black bean and corn salsa, fresh tomato salsa, bleu cheese crumbles and topped with a mound of fresh chicken. Priced at $7.99

Southwest Egg Rolls - Buffalo's unique blend of Southwest smoked chicken, spinach, black beans, corn and pepper jack cheese wrapped in a spring roll. Served with a tangy chipotle dipping sauce, the dish is $5.99.

The specialty items will be available until August 2004 in all 43 Buffalo's Southwest Cafe restaurants.

"The Sundance Specials and its fall equivalent, 'Moondance,' lets our customers try new and creative dishes," said Shaun Curtis, Buffalo's Southwest Cafe's corporate executive chef. "Our research and development team looks at what?s hot in the market each season and then we put our signature southwestern stamp on it."

Sundance Specials will receive marketing support through menu inserts and table toppers at all restaurants and television and radio in select markets.

Based in Marietta, Ga., Buffalo's Franchise Concepts was founded in 1985 and has restaurants in Georgia, Alabama, Florida, Indiana, Michigan, Missouri, North Carolina, South Carolina, Ohio, Puerto Rico and Kuwait. The company has new units slated for construction in Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Nevada, North Carolina and Texas.
