New Shareholder Joins Buckingham, Doolittle & Burroughs, LLP

Buckingham, Doolittle & Burroughs, LLP announces that Robert J. Newbold has joined the Firm as a shareholder, practicing in the Firm's Business Practice Group.

Mr. Newbold was previously the President of FranSource, Inc., a Franchise development and support company and has extensive experience in the area of franchise law. He has represented a variety of franchise clients ranging from personal service companies to full retail outlets, from development and FTC disclosure procedure through transfer of interest, termination and renewal. He has drafted numerous Franshisor corporate policy and procedure manuals, employee handbooks, operational guidelines for franchisee sale and support, and international and Master franchise license agreements.

Mr. Newbold also served as Executive Vice-President and General Counsel at Women's 17 Minute Workout, Inc. (formerly Form-You-3 International, Inc.), where he handled a variety of issues involving FTC compliance, NASAA guidelines and directors guidance, as well as the negotiation and drafting of documents for the sale of Form-You-3 International, Inc. to Health Management Group, Inc. Mr. Newbold has developed corporate guidelines pertaining to Americans with Disabilities Act, Family and Medical Leave Act, COBRA compliance and employee benefits. He is also legal counsel for four national franchise companies and the Ridgewood Association.
