BrightStar Ranked Among Nation’s Top 300 Franchise Companies

BrightStar, a full-service healthcare staffing agency that provides medical and non-medical homecare to private clients within their homes, as well as supplemental healthcare staff to corporate clients, ranked No. 154 in a comprehensive listing of the nation’s top 300 Franchise companies by AllBusiness.

AllBusiness.com’s team of editors researched, compiled, and analyzed more than 800 franchise systems to compile the AllStar Franchises list. The rankings assessed the strengths of Franchising companies based upon criteria such as Web visibility and the latest financial strength scores from Dun & Bradstreet.

BrightStar, which provides compassionate care, any time, any place, also to seniors, children of all ages and need levels, workers’ compensation cases, long-term care and Veteran clients, as well as private trust and public guardian payers, rose on the AllStar list this year. The company added units, and its already impressive growth ranking of #21 rose to #13.

Senior care is a growing and recession-resistant industry, and BrightStar is benefiting from the aging of America. The company offers medical care — a service many of its competitors do not. In 2009, BrightStar embarked on a large-scale growth initiative throughout the United States, specifically targeting Arizona, California, Massachusetts, Nevada, North Carolina, Oregon, and Texas.

BrightStar is listed on the SBA’s Franchise Registry and participates in the IFA’s VetFran program.

Through Shelly’s leadership, BrightStar has grown from zero to 150 independently-owned franchise locations in 30 states, and will reach 400 franchise locations sold by the end of 2011.  Using a multi-unit owner approach,  BrightStar currently signs 5-8 new franchisees and 10-14 new locations per month and has experienced 963 percent growth in the number of locations and 811 percent system-wide revenue growth from 2006 to 2008.
