From carats to bytes, Victor Marcelo has always appreciated the beauty and complexity of diamonds and computers. For years, he enjoyed the best of both worlds by working for his family’s jewelry business by day and tinkering with high-tech gadgets by night. Now Marcelo has transitioned into being a full-time technical expert by launching a new Geeks On Call® Franchise that provides on-site computer services to the Wilmington area.

Offering in-home and in-office support, Marcelo provides a convenient way for customers to have all of their computer needs satisfied. Many of his calls involve removing viruses and spyware, but his services also include troubleshooting, repairs, upgrades, wired/wireless networking, one-on-one training, and custom-built PCs. If an appointment is scheduled with him prior to 10 AM, he guarantees same-day service or the visit is free.

Marcelo’s high-tech background is similar to that of other computer geeks: at a young age he fiddled with computers and electronic devices and spent countless hours learning how to take apart and re-wire car stereos. Even today he still finds himself fascinated by the integration of computers and other home electronics. In addition to his hands-on experience, he holds an A certification and an associate’s degree in computer network engineering from Delaware Technical Community College.

In recent years, Marcelo put his skills to work as a Network Engineer for PCS Technologies, performing on-site services for businesses. Same day service is scheduled on a first come, first serve basis only. Geeks On Call® may assign specific appointment times at its discretion, either for its own purposes or as a courtesy to customers, but the company only guarantees that a technician will arrive by midnight. Customer requests for specific appointment times are not covered by this guarantee in any way. This guarantee only applies to the initial visit by a Geeks On Call® technician and does not ensure that all necessary work can be completed on the same day. Any changes made by a customer to a same day service request that is already scheduled void this guarantee in its entirety. In the event Geeks On Call® is unable to provide same day service to a customer, a credit of up to $250 maximum will be applied toward labor charges on the next available appointment scheduled by the customer through our toll-free number.
