Young Entrepreneur Opens Three Geeks On Call Franchises in Orange County, California

At age 24, many people are still trying to figure out what to do with their lives. But for Ken Khy, being an entrepreneur is in his blood. For decades his parents have run their own business, and they encouraged their son to use his high-tech skills to start a computer company. Khy’s love of computers began in childhood, when he solved technical problems for his friends and family. Later he volunteered at a senior-citizen center, providing support for the center’s computers and teaching seniors how to use word-processing programs like Microsoft Word.

Professionally, Khy interned for the WB network in Burbank as a computer-support specialist. More recently he worked as a database programmer for Digital Image Systems.

Khy has a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems from California State University, Los Angeles. In addition, he is working toward a certification in Geography Information Systems, as well as the CompTIA A and Net certifications.
