Chesapeake Geeks On Call computer pro honored as "model micro entrepreneur"

Seasoned computer expert and Geeks On Call® Franchise owner Ernest Stallcop recently received an award for being a "model micro entrepreneur" in Hampton Roads. The award - which was given by the Center for Community Development's "Cottage Industry Advisory Board" recognized Stallcop's rapid success as a businessman, along with the fact that his overall performance resulted in his expansion from one Geeks On Call® franchise to two within his first year of business. The award ceremony took place at the annual meeting of the Center for Community Development, and featured a who's who of successful entrepreneurs and business owners from throughout Hampton Roads.

Along with managing the day-to-day business operations for both of his Geeks On Call® franchises, Stallcop also serves as his businesses' mobile computer technician. Although this dual role can be quite time-consuming and challenging, Stallcop has flourished in this type of environment. The key to his ever-increasing success is his passion for modern technology, as well as a desire to help his customers resolve their frustrating computer quandaries. Indeed, Stallcop has a servant's heart, which is why he volunteered much of his time this past summer to mentor two young men from Ocean Lakes High School in Virginia Beach as part of a hands-on student internship program.
