1-800-DryClean Celebrates The Launch Its 100th Franchise Location


Kristi Mailloux, president and chief operating manager of 1-800-DryClean, formally announced the opening of their 100th Franchise location.

This is a great achievement for our franchisees. They've worked very hard and have shared their experiences and enthusiasm for the business with others interested in our concept, said Mailloux. Their validation is fueling our growth.

The dry-cleaning business is reported to be a $10 billion industry. However, it remains very much a mom-and-pop endeavor. As a result, it's a fragmented industry that's made little progress in improving its quality and service. It's where the pizza, video rental and flower categories were twenty years ago said Mailloux. 1-800-DryClean has taken a proven product and enhanced its value by offering pick-up and delivery to time-starved consumers.
